ABOUT IRIS CHINOOK
Being in my sixties and retired has given me permission to follow a life-long desire: writing stories that make me smile.
I live in southern Oregon on the banks of the Hathkapasuta (Illinois River) with my husband and an abundance of natural wealth. This region is home to rare flowers found nowhere else in the world, wild rivers with unparalleled purity, and a constant parade of wildlife right outside my back door.
When I'm not writing I indulge in a serious textile addiction by hand-spinning natural fibers and turning the result into one-of-a-kind garments in the spirit of "slow clothes". Not familiar with that but curious?

I love stories that inspire, increase awareness of nature, and engage the imagination. These are also the types of stories I aim to write.
